PURPOSE:To effectively assemble an IC with a socket irrespective of the number of terminals by conveying the IC on the IC socket while gripping the IC, reducing the width of the terminal group expanded at the IC and associating it with the IC socket. CONSTITUTION:An IC gripper 5 is rockably provided with a rockable plate 7 in a vertical direction. The IC.A dropper by its own weight is gripped at a predetermined position by the IC gripper 5 and confronted directly above the IC socket B. On the other hand, the IC socket B is stopped at the position on socket rails 8 adjusted by a control stopper 80. When a pressing cam 22 and a pressing plate 25 move downwardly in case the socket B is placed on movable rails 82, the IC.A is completely assembed with the socket B via the gripper 5 of the plate 7. The automatic assembling machine thus constructed can assemble the IC.A irrespective of the length of the IC and the number of the terminal group. |
