PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for various kinds of organic silicon compounds, etc. industrially advantageously, by heating a disilane and a conjugated diene compound in a specific molan ratio in the presence of (0) valent palladium-phosphorus complex as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:1mol disilane shown by the formula I (R<1> is monofunctional hydrocarbon group; a and b are 0-3, a+b is 0-5) and 0.3-3.0mol conjugated diene compound shown by the formula II (R<2> and R<3> are monofunctional group of H or alkyl) are heated in the presence of a catalytic amount of a 0-valent palladium- phosphorus complex shown by the formula Pd(PR3<4>)4 (R<4> is monofunctional group of hydrocarbon group or hydrocarbon oxy group), to give the titled compound shown by the formula III which is an addition product of 1:1. Methyl group is preferable as R<1> in the compound shown by the formula I from the point that it is readily obtainable, does not cause side reactions, and has wide range of application of the reaction product. |
