<p>The process applies a coating medium to a continuously supplied length of material. The medium is applied in a large quantity, and the excess is stripped off. A first section of the moving material, which is uncoated, is brought into contact with a second section, which carries the coating medium excess. In the contact area, the uncoated section wipes the medium excess off the second section. The medium is applied at a speed to form a pool (16) between the material section (11b) approaching the contact area (18), and the section (11c), leaving the area after wiping-off excess.</p> |
