The industrial furnace wall comprises an outer sheet-steel supporting casing, to the inside of which a fire-resistant lining is fixed by means of embedded anchors of heat-resistant steel. Each anchor is welded to the head of a bolt, whose shank is a clearance fit in a hole through the casing. Coaxial between the hole and the shank is a radially-split bush, clamped in the axial direction between the bolt head and a washer behind a nut on the outer shank end. The bush is of woven mineral fibre.
