<p>The barrel of a gun composed of tubular parts (2a,2) houses a lens (1) and a photographic shutter (11) which is coupled to the trigger lever of the dummy fire arm. At the back of the barrel is a light sensitive charge coupled device (3) having, say, 200 x 200 individual image points on an area of 5 x 5 mm. The distant target has a pointlike source of light to provide sufficient light intensity. A light flash coincides with the pulling of the trigger. The system can comprise a signal transmission channel by wire or radio from the fire-arm to the target point. If, at the moment of pulling the trigger the gun is directed precisely at the target centre, the image illuminates the centre of the sensor device. The imaged data are at first memorized in the CCD and then read out into a processor and evaluator unit (6) for display in a CRT or a special LED-based display device (8).</p> |
