A concentrator is used to trap solar energy. It has the shape of a paraboloid with a given focal length. The reflecting surface is coated with a metallic mirror layer. It operates at very high temps. so as to increase the Carnot efficiency. There is a support surface (44) rotating around the perpendicular axis of rotation of the paraboloid surface with a given speed. It sprays a liq. and hardening medium on to the surface. This is followed by the reflecting mirror layer (47). The mirror surface is produced by precipitation from the sprayed liq. substance.
