Depositing paper sheets on glass plates - using roller fed paper strip cut into sheets deposited singly on plates to prevent scratching when stacked

A feed control unit is used to direct the location of single sheets of paper on the surface of glass plates. The paper sheets are cut from a roll of paper (4) that is directed over a friction roller (5) and guide rollers (8,9). A pair of contact rollers (6,7) feed the paper into a pair of cutters (6,7) that cut across the paper except for a small centre section. A second pair of rollers (12,13) run at a slightly faster speed, than the main feed cause separation. Glass plates (2) are fed on a conveyor (1) and are positioned using signals from limit switches (17,18). When located correctly, a sheet of paper is deposited on the surface.
