A controlling commutator (23) for control signals has a starter device in which a starter arm (15) is coupled with the starter element, and swivels in the manner of a pivot, from a rest position around a pivot shaft against the action of a torsion spring (28). The spring has two branches or prongs (30,31) which project freely but are each provided with stops intended to fix the position of the prongs in the rest position. On the starter arm, at least one drive element is connected, for application to the prongs of the torsion spring. A second fixed stop limits the path of the commutation. The device has a simple construction, offering a 'pressure point' application without resort to levers or cams.
