The bottle closure capsule has a standard edge groove incorporating a pipe-shaped cap with an upper flange pointing radially inwards with a narrowest area adjoining it. There is a further adjoining apron area and finally a lower flange radially pointing inwards. The bottle closure also includes sealing elements and grip arms. When in the open position the circumferential surfaces of the grip unit (13) adjoin the inner surface of the apron area (17) of the cap (11). In the closed position the grip unit adjoins the narrowest area of the cap (11).
