The seat mounting for an office chair adapts itself automatically to the posture of the user. With respect to its neutral position, the seat of the chair can tilt forwards to a working position, when the user leans forwards, and, according to another embodiment, also rearwards. The support of the seat (200) is articulated on a plate (214) via a transverse pin or possibly two pins (206, 208) and its movement is limited by stop-pieces. Compression springs return the support and the seat into the neutral position with respect to the plate and slow down the forwards or rearwards tilting. <IMAGE> |
