PURPOSE:To measure only a net rotational torque by a torque tester by constructing the buffer so that the rotational torque of a rotary tool 1 is transmitted to a torque meter through an elastic member and absorbing the rotational inertia force by the deformation of the elastic member. CONSTITUTION:A shank 36 provided integrally with a locking head 40 is screwed into the center of a socket fitting base 34 in a threaded part, and an elastic member 38 having a suitable elastic strength is concentrically inserted and arranged in the shank 36. Between the locking head 40 and the elastic member 38 there is loosely fitted a drum-shaped sleeve 48 with respect to the shank 36, and between the locking head 40 and the hollow bottom part of the sleeve 48, there are inserted a thrust bearing 52 and a washer 50. A buffer 30 fits a square stepped part 32 in the socket 16 of the torque tester, and, on the other hand, the engaging parts of the shank 36 is engaged with the output shaft 58 of the rotary tool. |
