PURPOSE:To obtain several clear copies with high sensitivity by forming a dielectric layer having a time constant lower than that of a photoconductive layer in spontaneous discharge in the dark, further forming the photoconductive layer on the dielectric layer directly or with a middle layer in-between, and forming an electrostatic latent image by a specified method. CONSTITUTION:Dielectric layer 3 having a time constant lower than that of photoconductive layer 5 in spontaneous discharge in the dark (dark attenuation) is formed on electrically conductive substrate 2, and on layer 3 layer 5 is formed to manufacture receptor 1. Layer 5 may be formed on middle layer 4 on layer 3 to manufacture receptor 1'. Layer 3 contains a binder such as polyester and a low molecular compound such as an N-contg. cyclic compound or a high molecular compound such as poly-N-vinylcarbazole as an electron donor or contains an electron receptor. Layer 5 contains an inorg. photoconductor or an org. photoconductor such as a pyrylium compound and a binder resin. An elecrostatic latent image formed by a single imagewise exposure is increased in the apparent potential with the passage of time to prevent a charge leak in development, and stable multiple copy can be performed. |
