PURPOSE:To make high-precision corrections which do not depend upon factors of topography, etc., by artificially providing a standard ground point by transmitting a signal from the ground to a satellite and by receiving information on the attitude, etc., of the satellite on the ground. CONSTITUTION:At proper positions in photographic area B' of satellite 1, standard ground point (GCP) signal transmitters 71, 72...7n are installed to transmit specific signals. The satellite-mounted device receives them as specific picture elements and measures and transmits attitude angle (theta) of the satellite, position P of the earth coordinate system, scan direction angle (beta), and satellite time (t) to the ground station together with ground transmitted data. At the ground station, coordinates G on the ground are calculated from (theta), P, (beta), and (t) received from the satellite are calculated and compared with the GCP transmission positions to correct picture data. The GCP transmission positions can uniformly be arranged for all pictures and corrections of satellite pictures can be made precisely without depending upon factors of topography, etc. |
