PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a fire resulting from a mistake made during electric discharge machining by employing an aqueous solution of incombustible phosphoric ester of excellent working property as the electric discharge machining dielectric fluid. CONSTITUTION:Used as the electric discharge machining dielectric fluid is an aqueous solution of incombustible phosphoric ester having a formula of PO(OR)3 (where R is a 1-8C alkyl or aryl group). By employing said aqueous solution, the occurrence of a fire can be prevented if a mistake is made during electric discharge machining. Accordingly, unmanned operation is permitted in electric discharge machining. |
