<p>The device is mounted on a clamp which grips both sides of the base flange of a railway track, to provide a mounting which is able to withstand the vibrations and impact acceleration generated by the passage of high speed railway trains. The railway track (6) is gripped round the base flange (5) by two jaws (1,2) having a groove to accept the edge of the flange and flat projections which rest against the underside of the track. A bolt (14) passes through holes in the jaws and underneath the track and the jaws are clamped together using a nut (15) and a Belleville washer on the threaded end of the bolt. The jaw opposite the clamping nut has provision to insert oval vertical rods, in suitable cut outs, to carry the signalling device. The oval rods are clamped in place by nuts pulling a plate against the outer edge of the jaws.</p> |
