The child's cot has one side which can be adjusted in height and moves up and down in slide bearings (11) and can be locked at the top position. The slide bearings (11) are in the form of pins (13) which fit into grooves (14) in the front sides. In both ends (19) of at least one crosswise strut of the side of cot are locking pins (20). The locking pins (20) are pushed back against the force of a spring (21) and fit into holes (22) when locked. The pins (20) are joined by pulley cables (23) to the operating handle.
