PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a rotary cylinder device and reduce its cost, by providing a number of pairs of cylinder chambers on the inside wall of the circular opening of a cylinder member so that the cylinder chambers are opposed to each other across the axis of the opening and by housing a rotary piston member having a plurality of pistons, in the opening. CONSTITUTION:When a circle B having a radius of r/2 and inscribed on another circle A having a radius of (r) is rolled thereon, a point P' on the circle B reciprocates on a straight line extending on the center O1 of the circle A. A pair of cylinder chambers C1, C2 are provided in such positions on the circle A that the cylinder chambers C1, C2 are opposed to each other across the center O1. A piston P is provided on the circle B. According to this constitution, the piston P reciprocates straightly between the cylinder chambers C1, C2 to perform suction and discharge. A rotary cylinder device is constructed in accordance with the above-mentioned basic principles. A cylinder member 4 having three pairs of cylinder chambers 42A1, 42A2, 42B1, 42B2, 42C1, 42C2 is tightly fitted in the cylindrical section of a pump casing 1. A rotary piston member 3 having pistons 32A-32c is housed in the opening 41 of the cylinder member 4. |
