PURPOSE:To collect bubbles contained in fuel in a delivery pipe and correctively regulate an amount of fuel by extending a pipe from a fuel pump and another pipe to a pressure regulator up to and from their opening points above a delivery pipe and respectively forming air pockets on their open ends. CONSTITUTION:Fuel injectors 12A-12F are laterally arranged on a fuel delivery pipe 10, through which fuel may be supplied for a combustion chamber of each cylinder. One end of the delivery pipe 10 is connected to a pipe 14 extending from a fuel injection pump and the other end is connected to a pipe 16 extending to a pressure regulator not illustrated in the drawing. Air pockets 18A, 18B intercommunicating with a space in the delivery pipe 10 are formed on the both ends of the delivery pipe 10 and each pipe 14, 16 extends to open in the middle of each air pocket 18A, 18B. Bubbles (p), (q) contained in fuel are respectively collected in the air pockets 18A, 18B, thereby preventing mixing of much air into fuel at start of an engine. |
