PURPOSE:To transfer, record cubic information with ease and enable use of an ordinary paper as a recording material by forming a thermoinflatable ink layer on the reverse side of a support and thermally inflating the said ink layer through beam irradiation. CONSTITUTION:On the reverse side of a support 1, a thermoinflatable ink layer 2 containing a thermoinflatable substance 3 and coloring pigment or dye 4 is formed, thus creating a thermosensitized cubic recording medium. Next, the thermoinflatable ink layer 2 of the thermosensitized cubic recording medium is caused to contact with a recording material, so that the thermoinflatable ink layer 2 is transferred onto the recording material by means of the thermal recording head. After stripping and removing the thermosensitized cubic recording medium, an infrared ray lamp, a laser beam source, etc. are exposed to the thermoinflatable ink layer 2 transferred on the recording material to thermally inflate a thermoinflatable substance contained in the ink on the recording material. Thus an uneven image is obtained. As a thermoinflatable substance, it is desirable to use a hollow thermoinflatable microcube containing a volatile inflation agent with a capsule wall of thermoplastic material. |
