PURPOSE:To facilitate a welding operation through preventing the interruption of a welding current and the displacement of a consumable nozzle inserted into a joint part, etc., by providing plural current contacts formed at the outer circumference of the nozzle in pitches of small sections and by feeding current to those contacts simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The consumable nozzle 2 and wire 3 for welding are inserted the overall length of grove 12 of base material 1. At the outer circumference of the nozzle 12, plural current contacts 13 are provided in small-sectioned pitches. Those current contacts 13 are connected to AC welding power source 7 via subcable 14, welding current contacts 8, welding current extraction points 11, and cabtyre cable 6. Consequently, the welding current is simultaneously fed to those contacts via welding current contacts 8 and the welding is performed from the nozzle 12 to the upper part successively. The consumable nozzle 2 of about 1,000-1,200mm. is generally used and then current contacts 13 are preferably provided at two-five points, so the pitch of current contacts 13 are set to 200-500mm.. |
