In a sealing device for a roller bearing having an outer race having an radially inwardly directed rib at at least one end thereof, a seal held on the rib of the outer race has, on the outer periphery thereof, a concave peripheral groove engaging the rib with a suitable clearance interposed therebetween, the seal is of the floating type in which the inner diameter of the seal is greater than the outer diameter of a shaft, and the clearance between the rib of the outer race and the shaft is sealed by the seal of the floating type. <IMAGE> |
