An arrangement for wetting of a gas flow 17 comprises a container 1, 2, 30, 31, 40, 41 with an inlet 15, 29 and an outlet 19, 41 for the gas flow, and with an inlet 50, 411 and an outlet 60 for a liquid flow 10, wherein the liquid flow and the gas flow are essentially arranged to be brought into opposite-flow contact with each other. The container 1, 2, 30, 31, 40, 41 is arranged to establish an essentially meandering, generally vertically upwardly directed path for the gas flow 17. The inlet 50, 411 for the liquid flow 10 is arranged to establish liquid curtains 10 which screen off the path of the gas flow in front of the gas flow-deflecting parts 40, 30, 41, 31 of the path that follow a curtain. |
