PURPOSE:To enhance the suitability for phosphate treatment and improve corrosion resistance after electrodeposition painting by adhering a minute amount of metallic nickel on a surface of the cold rolled steel plate. CONSTITUTION:On a surface of the cold rolled steel plate, metallic nickel is adhered in an amount of 0.3-10mg/dm<2> by an electroplating, a displacement plating or an evaporation plating method. Said adhering process is pref. carried out in such a condition that nickel and iron are appropriately distributed on the surface of the steel plate. By this treatment, excellent phosphate treatment suitability is ensured and, further, the cold rolled steel plate with excellent corrosion resistance, galling resistance to a die at press processing and rust-proofness after painting are obtained. |
