A cable of metal wires is made up of at least two strands, having a spiral twist of the same direction and pitch. The strands are twisted around an axis outside their own axes, and are assembled by overlapping the spirals formed, one within the other. The strands are multifilament bindles, containing identical wires, or wires having different diameters. At least one of the filament bundles is twisted on itself so that the pitch of the spiral is greater than fifty times the diameter of the largest wire in the bundle. Preferably, the cable has several multi-filament bundles twisted on themselves.
|
