Electric governor for hydrodynamic plant - has integrator for astatic regulation which includes limiting circuit for adjustment rate

The governor uses an error signal representing the disparity between the actual and the required rotation rates. This signal is fed to an integrator (2) providing an output determining the rate of adjustment of the opening of a control element regulating the water flow acting on the rotor of the water turbine. A limiting circuitry (5) is inserted between the comparison circuit (1) for the actual and required rotation rates and the integrator (2). It limits the input fed to the latter to a value corresp. to the integrator (2) providing an output allowing adjustment of the control element at the max. possible rate. Pref. the limiting circuit (5) uses a saturation amplifier (18). The governor has a rapid response for wide deviations.
