Shoe box closing machine - has lids and boxes brought together in endless conveyors and forced together in station with vertical conveyors and pressure elements

The packing machine has a feed table which brings the boxes to the machine, and an opposite table bringing the lids to the machine. The lids and boxes travel on parellel courses in between endless conveyors. The conveyors converge to a closing point with stops to synchronise the boxes and lids. The conveyors are adjusted to take different sizes of boxes. The boxes are closed in a station which has an array of endless belts positioned vertically with a series of interposed elastic flapts in the pasage between putting the lids on the boxes. The closed boxes are stacked onto a transport conveyor (22) and carried off the machine.
