PURPOSE:To simplify compensation of a color mixture, by forming two independent potential wells to a photosensitive element with different color filter elements provided in these wells in opposition to each other and then mixing the signal of the means that accumulates the signal charge with the signal charge accumulated in the wells. CONSTITUTION:A charge transfer element having an electrode of 4 phases phi1-phi4 is formed on an insulated substrate, and a driver is connected to the phases phi1 and phi2 plus phi3 and phi4 each. Then the DC bias is applied to the phases phi2 and phi4 to form two independent wells to a photosensitive element. The color filter 15 composed of layers to transmit the component light of red R16, green G17, blue B18 and magenta Ma19 each and the transparent light masking layer 20 is provided to these wells each in opposition to each other. Then the different elements of the filter 15 are made to oppose to each other in these two wells, and the signal charge is applied to each electrode for accumulation. These accumulated charges are mixed up. This mixture charge is read out by the transfer pulse applied to each electrode, and thus a color signal with no mixture of colors is produced. |
