The invention concerns a convector comprising flange members (3, 4) arranged on a tube (1). The flange members are each provided with outer limbs (12, 13, 22, 23) constituting opposite side walls of the convector. In the area between the limbs and tube, folded abutment portions (8, 9, 18, 19) are arranged which are unequally spaced from location means (6, 16) for the tube (1) so that they rest on flat portions of adjacent flange members when they are 180 DEG out of register. A rigid structure is thus obtained having excellent heat conducting properties. The invention also concerns a method for the manufacture of the convector. <IMAGE> |
