The sports trousers are for cycling or horse riding and have a special panel (2) forming the seat of the trousers, which fits into an opening left in the panels (1) that the trousers are made from. The area and shape of the panel is pref. greater than the contact surface of the gluteal muscles and the legs with the saddle. The inner surface of the panel is covered with a material that is pref. absorbent and does not irritate the skin. Between the panel and this material there is a layer of padding.
