PURPOSE:To obtain a speaker having a little harmonic distortion and a wide regenerative frequency band, by installing a horn which has the throad diameter within a specified range, in front of the diaphragm, and making the minimum resonance frequncy of the oscillation system lower than the cut-off frequency of the horn. CONSTITUTION:A horn 1 having the throat diameter Dt which is equal to or a little larger than the diaphragm diameter Dd, and having their ratio Dt/Dd of 1-1.3 is provided in front of the diaphragm 4 having the diameter which is almost equal to the voice coil 6 provided in the magnetic gap of a ring shape. The minimum resonance frequency f0 of the oscillation system is made lower than the cut-off frequency fC of the horn 1. In this way, when the edge of high compliance is made usable, etc., it is possible to reduce generation of the harmonic distortion, widen the regenerative frequency band, also make unnecessary an acoustic transformer or a phase equalizer, alleviate the working accuracy of the horn throad and the assembling accuracy of the oscillation system, and reduce the number of man-hour for assembly. |
