PURPOSE:To perform smooth drive and control without using any electric circuit by stopping the rotation of a developing sleeve behind a signal input time, by using a spring clutch and delay cam. CONSTITUTION:In response to a signal inputted when development is unnecessary, a developer scraping-off member is brought into contact with sleeve 25. With the said signal, solenoid SL is released to push lever 16 to pin 11 while lever 10 is drawn back by spring 30, and then clockwise rotation results in disengagement from notch 141. Next, delay drum 14 is driven with friction with a driven ring to start rotation as shown by arrow A. At this time, clow 121 at the tip of lever 12 is pressed against the surface of delay drum 14 by spring 15. While notch 141 of the delay drum rotates until the position of lever 12, the rotation of a driver is transmitted to a developing device and as claw 121 is hooked in notch 141, the rotation is stopped. Once the signal for operating the developing device arrives again, the developer scraping-off member is released and claw 121 of the lever is disengaged from notch 141. |
