PURPOSE:To detect the effective diameter of a screw continuously by making a ball be elevated along a screw groove and thereby detecting the dimension of the screw as the amount of displacement of the ball. CONSTITUTION:The screw 11 to be measured is set on a table 12 and the ball 14 is put in the screw groove 13 of the screw 11. When the table 12 is turned, the ball 14 is elevated or lowered along the screw groove 13 and simultaneously a shaft 28 is also elevated or lowered while being controlled by a guide 30. In the case when the dimension of the screw 11 differs from the marked value on the occasion, the ball 11 is displaced in the direction X-X, and the amount of the displacement is transmitted to a measuring piece 33 through the intermediary of the shaft 28 and a lower plate 23 suspended by parallel springs 24 and 25 and is detected by a detector 32. By indicating a detected value in a meter or recording the same on recording paper, continuous measurement of the effective diameter of the screw 11 can be performed. |
