PURPOSE:To enable the reciprocating motion of a hammer at a stroke being wider than a set pitch of the hammer without exercising a magnetic influence of an adjoining electromagnet on it, by a method wherein a device is constituted such that only the hammer is caused to move through the disposing magnets in zigzag manner. CONSTITUTION:A hammer supporter 3 reciprocates along a priting line. Hammers 2 are alternately supported at beam materials 11 and 12 for the hammer supporter, and electromagnets 4 for driving the hammers are located in zigzag. The electromagnet 4 has a core 21 having a width being wider than a set pitch of a needle pin. A permanent magnet 7 is secured on each hammer in a state to face the core. When the electromagnet is excited in a manner to erase a magnetic force, strinking of dot is performed through the elastic energy of the hammer. |
