PURPOSE:A liquid lubricating oil, suitable for a machine, machining a metal or treating a textile, having improved dispersion stability and extreme pressure properties and a low coefficient of briction, and prepared by incorporating a specific amount of fluorinated graphite having a specific particle size as a lubricity improver in a lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:A liquid lubricating oil prepared by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. lubricating oil as a base oil with (B) 0.1-5pts.wt., preferably 0.1-1.5pts.wt., fluorinated graphite having a particle size of 0.01-1.0mu, preferably 0.01-0.8mu, agitating the resultant mixture with an agitator, etc. sufficiently and, dispersing the fluorinated graphite in the oil. A mineral oil, e.g. naphthenic hydrocarbon oil, a synthetic hydrocarbon oil or olefinic polymerized oil, etc. having a viscosity of usually 5-3,000cp at room temperature may be used as the base oil. USE:A refrigerator oil, engine oil, spindle oil, dynamo oil, machine oil, turbine oil, gear oil, and cylinder oil. |
