PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture electrooptical display cells each having a through hole by punching a through hole in the electrode substrates and a sealant of a cell vessel assembly at each cell vessel part and separating the assembly into the individual cell vessel. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes for a plurality of cells are formed on two large-sized substrates 10, sealants 3, 3a, 6 are printed on one of substrates 10, and electrode substrates 10 are stuck together through sealants 3, 3a, 6 to form cell vessle assembly A. Through hole 4 is punched in the center of hole part sealant 3a at each cell vessel (a) part of assembly A with an ultrasonic punching machine or a drill, and then assembly A is separated into cell vessels (a), (a) individually. |
