PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive material having superior photosensitivity over a wide wavelength range by laying a layer contg. an acrylonitrile copolymer on an electrically conductive substrate and thermally decomposing the copolymer to form a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A soln. of an acrylonitrile copolymer in an org. solvent is applied to an electrically conductive substrate such as an Al plate or a Nesa glass plate which is not deformed, decomposed, and deprived of the conductivity by heating to a temp. as high as about 250-400 deg.C. The copolymer includes an acrylonitrile- styrene copolymer contg. about 20-30mol% acrylonitrile. The soln. is then dried and heated at about 230-400 deg.C for about 10sec-20hr to thermally decompose the copolymer. Thus, a photoconductive layer is formed. |
