PURPOSE:To eliminate illumination intensity difference, and to correct deviation of position of an image, by equalizing the numbers of the reflective mirrors of a reciprocating optical system, and setting an image forming position with the advancing optical system, and an image forming position with the returning optical system at positions separate from each other along the moving direction of a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A reflected luminous flux from second advancing mirror 6A passes through lens 7, and converges on photoreceptor 10 rotating in the direction of arrow C via first and second fixed mirrors 8, 9. A reflected luminous flux from second returning mirror 6B converges on photoreceptor 10 via through lens 7 and roof mirror 11. Shutter plate 12 is set in the space between mirror 9 and photoreceptor 10, turns in the direction of arrow D to the position of the continuous line in scanning of direction B, and turns in the direction of arrow F to the position of the short dashed line in scanning of direction B', thus permitting illumination intensity difference to be eliminated and deviation of an image position to be corrected. |
