PURPOSE:To eliminate moire electrically without lowering a resolving power, by extracting selectively a signal in a frequency band that induces the moire from a luminance signal and then supplying the extracted signal as a blanking signal of a modulator circuit. CONSTITUTION:The signals R, G and B supplied from the input terminals 1, 2 and 3 each are converted into the signals R-Y, B-Y and Y through the matrix circuit 4. Then each color difference signal is compounded with the signal Y after modulated by the modulator circuits 5 and 6 to be delivered to the output terminal 8 in the form of a color composite video signal. The signal Y is supplied to the band pass filter 9 to extract selectively only the signal that has a frequency band where the moire is caused. The selected signal receives a waveform shaping through the waveform shaping circuit 10 to be supplied to the circuits 5 and 6 in the form of the blanking signal. At this moment, the circuits 5 and 6 cut off the color difference signal. |
