PURPOSE:To equalize pressure and provide an electrolyte passage and gas bubble passage without any throat part by making three-dimensionally a meshed liquid chamber spacer in the form square corrugation. CONSTITUTION:At a liquid chamber spacer 30, longitudinal grooves 31 as passage for electrolyte are formed, which consist of a plurality of channel-shaped grooves 31A with a width W formed at one of the sides of a plate with a uniform thickness t and similar grooves 31B formed at the other side of the plate, which thus is given a form of square corrugation. Each transverse groove intersecting these longitudinal grooves 31 is formed from grooves 32A, 32B, whose depth is smaller than of the longitudinal groove 31 and larger than the thickness of the bottom thereof. Thereby a through hole 33A in communication with the grooves 31B is formed in the part where the groove 32A intersects the grooves 31B at their bottoms, and another through hole through hole 33B is formed in the same manner, to form in the whole a passage for ion stream consisting of through holes distributed in the form of mesh. |
