The astronomical clock includes a circular scale divided into twenty-four equal divisions and having arms radiating outwards from a central point, divided into twelve segments for the signs of the zodiac. It can be combined with a variable-frequency quartz-controlled motor, for the conventional section. The axis of rotation of the circular scale is offset from the central point for the radial arms, the distance being adjustable.
