PURPOSE:To reinforce a shell core and purge the gas produced in casting to the outside in order to prevent defective castings, by casting hollow pipes between cylinders adjacent each other. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of hollow pipes 4 are casted in a thin wall area 3 between the cylinders 1, 2 perpendicularly to the axes of cylinders 1, 2 at equal intervals, so as to form a cylinder block C. A water jacket 7 is formed in a position where the block C and a mold between cylinders 1, 2 are located. |
