PURPOSE:To remove even very fine magnetic metal powder from polluted liquid by flowing upwards polluted liquid through drums from the lower part of a magnet roller conveyer made up of rotary drums arranged closely and in a multistaged manner. CONSTITUTION:Rotary drum 2 consists of an inner cylinder whose surface is provided with a magnet and an outer cylinder made of a nonmagnetic material, in which the rotary center of the inner cylinder is located eccentrically to that of the outer cylinder, the distance between the magnet surface and the inner surface of the outer cylinder is varied, and both the inner and outer cylinders are turned in the same direction at an almost equal speed. A magnet roller conveyer is made up by combining plural rotary drums 2 and set in a tank 9. The polluted liquid, e.g., of cutting oil, etc., is flowed into the tank 9 in the direction of arrow A and the drum 2 is turned in clockwise direction, whereupon metal powder in the polluted liquid is well adsorbed while it passes through the lower sides of each drum 2 or between the drums. The metal powder so adsrobed is raked off the surface of the upper raking drum 10 while being transferred. |
