<p>A shirt-like garment for e.g. the bed-ridden patient has the normal length front and sleeves, but the back only reaches from the collar to just below the armholes, and has a back opening fastened with e.g. hooked pile fasteners. Such a garment is easy to put on and to take off, and allows for easy examination of the patient, by lifting the front panel. It also provides considerable freedom of movement to the upper limbs. The garment may adopt the form of a blouse, a sweater or a cardigan.</p> |
