PURPOSE:To accurately display a vehicle speed as well as to easily read it by a method wherein a time space to update the display content of a digital indicator is controlled by means of a magnitude of acceleration speed and a magnitude of travelling speed of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A display control circuit 18 controls a time space to update the display content of a digital indicator 8 by means of the magnitude of a voltage signal from a regulating speed detection circuit 9 indicating a regulating speed and the magnitude of a voltage signal from a F/V converter 2 indicating a detection vehicle speed. This display control circuit 8 consists of comparators 19, 20 which discriminate the magnitude of the voltage signal from the regulating speed detection circuit 9, comparators 21, 22 which discriminate the magnitude of a voltage signal from the F/V converter 2 and a change-over circuit 23 which outputs any of clock signals from an oscillator 3' corresponding to binary level of output signals from the comparators 19-22, to a latch circuit 5 as a latch signal. |
