Compact table-top size photocopier - has straight through copy feed with folding design for access

The photocopier has the copy sheets fed through from one side to the other in a simple guide. The document is scanned by a fibre optic (7) and projected onto the process drum (6) by a penta-prism (8). The copier hinges at one end to split along the copy path so that blockages are simple to clear. The document is placed on a transparent top plate which moves over the scanning slot. No complex mirror drives are required. A toner powder developer (11) is provided by a gravity fed reservoir while a cleaning roller (22) and scraper remove excess toner. A radiant heater (18) fixes the copy. The copy sheets are taken from a magazine at one end and pass out of an exit slot at the other end.
