PURPOSE:To enable to make an inspection for airtightness efficiently, by inserting a pipe in airtight around the processed part after the airtight processing for the terminated joints is finished, and suctioning the air in the pipe. CONSTITUTION:The airtight check pipe 20 to make airtight inspection of airtight processing sections 6, 9, 9' of a solid cable 1 is in contact with the surrounding of a base 8 at a large sized opening 22 to keep airtightness, and it is in contact with the surrounding of a conductor extraction rod 5. On this state, through a small hole 21 provided with the pipe 20, vacuum extraction is made with a vacuum pump 17 for airtightness inspection. If the result of inspection is good, sealing of insulation fluid is made, but if not good, the pipe 20 is removed and the parts 6, 9, 9' are repaired. Thus, since the airtight inspection is made only to the airtight processing part in question, the efficiency of inspection job is increased. |
