The crusher and shredder has a first stage rotating cutter (1) with a vertical axis and mounted in a cylindrical casing (6) with an opened top end and a closed base. The ends of the blades are curved upwards. A second cutter (3) has a straight blade which makes an angle with the horizontal (alpha). A third set of star shaped blades (2) is mounted horizontally below the first and second blades. The side wall is fitted with a number of bosses (7). The lower part of the casing has a sealing ring (4).
