A removable paper clip is similar in function to the type made from wire but is made from resilient plastic. The clip consists of a rectangle with a flat central tongue extending over roughly half the length. The tongue has an enlarged rectangular tip with a number of small pointed projections to provide a grip on the paper. The clips are made by injection moulding and are joined together by thin tags to form a long strip. The tags enable an individual clip to be easily broken off from the strip.
