PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling efficiency of a stator coil and to reduce an air whirling sound caused by the rotation of the fans by inclining the side wall of a frame in a conical shape, and inclining the blades of the centrifugal fans along the profile of the side wall. CONSTITUTION:The both sides of end frames 1 and 1' are inclined in an approximately conical shape, so that the space between the surface of the frame and pawl cores 6 and 6' becomes gradually narrow as they approach the outer periphery. The blades 8a and 8a' of the fans 8 and 8' are tapered along the profile of the side surface of the frame with some distance of the gap being provided between the side surface of the frame and the blades. In the vicinity of bearings 4 and 4' on both sides of the end frames 1 and 1', are formed suction windows 1b and 1b' so that the cooling wind can be inhaled into the inside of the generator. In this constitution, the cooling efficiency of the stator coil can be largely enhanced, and the air whirling sound can be reduced. |
