<p>The switch includes a hollow rectangular section housing having two straight leaf contacts extending along respective opposing inner walls of the housing and through an end wall, to mount the switch. A hollow cup-shaped slide is slidable in the housing towards and away from the end wall and contains a U-shaped spring contact. The side arms of the spring are outwardly deformed through side openings in the slide to contact and bridge the two leaf contacts. A rod extends laterally from the slide through a slot in the housing for connection to an actuating rod or button. The leaf contacts can be shaped to provide an open or closed switch with the slide biassed into a rest position by a coil spring.</p> |
